More great news today. The Sutton Town Council have very generously agreed to fund the club £4745.00 for new safety matting. This is a huge help and some of the most important equipment in the gym.
Huge thanks to Comic Relief community cash who have funded us £918.59. This will be used to purchase Gymnova Modular equipment and some sensory bits and bobs.
The Morrisons Foundation has awarded us an amazing grant of nearly £12,000.00. This is one of the largest grants we have been given and is a massive boost to the club.
The funds will be used towards a trampoline and Fast Track (very long trampoline)! for the new venue. This will allow us to pursue our aim of introducing rebound therapy as something the club offers along with providing a very useful training aid for all users.
We have received a lovely letter of thanks and commendation from Trev at Greenwood Academy, we are really sorry to have left them!
We said a sorry farewell to Greenwood Academy on 30th June. The school is having a brand new building as so we are moving on to pastures new.
Massive thank you to all the parents who lent a hand in moving all our very bulky equipment into storage.
This does mean that there will be no more gymnastics until we are set up in the new venue. We apologise for any disappointment, but will be up and running as soon as is possible.
The Boost Charitable Trust have provided us with £500.00 worth of funding for new equipment, we are very grateful for their support.
Huge thanks to the Sands Cox Charitable Trust who have provided us with £500.00 towards equipment for our disability programme at the new venue. Thank you!
Our Saturday morning had so much fun celebrating International Handstand Day! We spent all morning upside down and tried lots of different types of handstands.
Happy Handstand Day!
Over the last few days three of our coaches have attended a training course so that we might carry out Rebound Therapy at our new venue.
Rebound therapy is a type of physiotherapy using a trampoline which can be of great benefit to people with disabilities. Our disability programme is something we are looking to really develop at the new centre and along with Makaton training, specialist disability gymnastics courses and now rebound therapy, we are doing our best to get prepared.
After months of hard work and waiting, we are please to announce that we have been granted full planning permission on Unit 1a CFS Business Park in Sutton Coldfield. This is a major milestone in our hope of moving into a full time facility and the creation of a fantastic gymnastics for all programme.
